Oboom introduces mixed payment for new customers and downloads

Oboom is in the fight against DDownload, RapidGator and Uploaded in a real cut-throat competition. In the next few months it will be decided who is ahead in the German-speaking underground. In order to gain market share, the sharehoster Oboom is introducing a mixed remuneration for its partners.

Oboom pays higher commissions with immediate effect

The spokesman for Oboom told us today in our video conference that the company’s management is not primarily concerned with making profits at the moment. After the separation from Smoozed, they would rather “catapult their own project forward”. The market for downloaders of German language works is highly competitive. As soon as the highest court of justice gives its verdict against Uploaded, the cake will be redivided again.

oboom smoozedIn November 2019, the European Court of Justice was asked to make a landmark decision in order to finally settle several lawsuits. could recover the damages from the actual infringers (uploaders) by way of recourse. But then the registration process would have to be adapted to the know-your-customer principle of banks etc. In this case, the uploaders would have to present a genuine copy of their identity card when registering. But this would automatically end the business model of every scene host. Be that as it may. It is quite possible that after the judgement, there will be no way around a liquidation of Cyando AG, the operating company of Uploaded. That’s why the makers of Oboom are currently focusing on conquering market share. And at all costs.

Mixed remuneration for the partners

For member recruitment, Oboom currently pays a commission of 60 percent for new customers. With inventory customers it is nevertheless 50 per cent. For 1,000 mediated Downloads depending upon size up to 60 EUR are paid. Besides one introduced recently a mixture consisting of member advertisement and Downloads. The mix program offers 50% for new customers, 40% for existing customers and up to 30 EUR for up to 1,000 downloads. In the forum Szenebox it is said that since the bust of all sharehosters have solved their problems from the uploader’s point of view. In December the user wrote “fuckedup” that he has no more problems with his transfers, they all arrive properly. For Dedicated Engineering Ltd. it’s literally about the sausage. If one of the online storage services were to experience long-term technical problems, this would have enormous negative consequences. Surely nobody can or wants to afford that.

Discount for downloaders

oboomSame time when Smoozed and Oboom split up, the prices for downloaders were also reduced. For a one month subscription the price is reduced by 20%. Whoever becomes a quarter year paying customer can deduct 30%. Premium users who book Oboom for one year can look forward to a 70% discount. They pay instead of nearly 100 only 29.99 EUR ! According to the Oboom spokesman, pricing will be adjusted to the intensity of use of the service.

If there are and remain many customers, one will not change the conditions. With comparatively few consumers, the subscription prices will rise, because the company is currently focused on non-profit.

How are credit cards structured?

Although there are different types of credit cards, all credit cards have the same structure. They contain certain information, part of which is stored visibly, the other part invisibly.

The format of a credit card is called a check card format and is identical to that of an EC card, health insurance card, or driver’s license. The corresponding international standard is ISO/IEC 7810 and defines identity documents. The credit card corresponds to the ID-1 format with the dimensions 85.60mm x 53.98mm.

Data on the front

  • the credit card number, which always has 16 digits, except for American Express cards (15 digits)
  • the BIN code (Bank Identification Number) of the credit card issuer, printed in small print under the first four digits of the credit card number
  • the month of issue of the credit card, indicated by VALID FROM and then the month and year in two digits
  • the period of validity of the credit card, which is marked UNTIL END and, like the month of issue, is marked with two digits for month and year
  • the name of the credit card holder
  • VISA, MasterCard or American Express, depending on the credit card company There are also other card companies, but these are the three most frequently represented credit card companies in Germany. With VISA and MasterCard you can also pay in many shops and stores, with AMEX (American Express) this is less common.

Data on the back

  • On the back of the card is the magnetic strip on which the check digits CVC1 and CVV2 are not visibly stored,
  • the handwritten signature that must be made before use so that the card can be used at all or has the corresponding validity,
  • the CVC, or credit card verification number,
  • Details of the credit card issuer, such as the service number in case of loss of card (which is perhaps best written down somewhere BEFORE loss) and the address of the credit card issuer
  • Other information printed there by the issuer of the credit card, which may vary considerably according to the type of card, the type of credit card in use or the type of prepaid credit card (credit card on credit basis, also called prepaid credit card)

Non-visible credit card data

If the credit card has a PIN, you can also use the card to withdraw cash from ATMs. For security reasons, the PIN is not stored on the card, but is requested online.

Which credit card data is required when and how?

  • The credit card verification number, the CVC, is required for payments on the Internet. This is always a three-digit number and is stated on the back of the credit card.
  • The PIN, the secret number, is required for withdrawing money from ATMs. The PIN is not given anywhere on the credit card, but was sent by post from the credit card issuer to the credit card holder.
  • For payments on site in shops, the signature is required. Before using the credit card for the first time, it must be entered on the back of the credit card in the space provided.
what is a bin code

What is a BIN Code?

The BIN code is a special identification number that is also used to identify credit cards. “BIN” stands for “Bank Identification Number”. The BIN code is specifically used to identify individual credit cards during routing within the existing ATM networks. The BIN code enables both the type of card and the bank issuing the credit card to be recognised. In this way, the credit card can be used to uniquely identify which bank issued the card when cash is dispensed at ATMs.

In practice, a bank often has different BIN codes, since most banks issue different types of credit cards. The exact structure of the BIN code, sometimes referred to as the “IIN” (Issuer Identification Number), is defined in the standard for magnetic stripes on cards, ISO 7812.

The BIN code is found on the credit card as one part credit card number, which is embossed on the front of every credit card. The BIN code is “hidden” in the first six digits of the credit card number, which has a total of 14 to 16 digits.

The BIN code consists of three parts. The first part is a four-digit number that is assigned to the manufacturer or issuer of the credit card, i.e. usually the issuing bank. The second part uses the fifth digit to indicate the type of credit card within the issuer, for example, whether it is a standard or gold card. The sixth digit, which is the third part of the BIN code, indicates whether the card is the main card, a second card, a partner card, or a credit card for companies.

This price development is reminiscent of the Bitcoin hype a few years ago: Anyone who bought Bitcoins for a few hundred euros back then is now a millionaire. But how can you as an investor invest in Bitcoin, where can you buy Bitcoin and why can Bitcoin trading still be interesting for investors and speculators? We have selected providers where the Bitcoin purchase is easily done in just 15 minutes via PayPal. We also tell you how you can buy Bitcoin alternatively at a marketplace (with wallet).

In the following we will tell you what makes buying Bitcoin through a CFD broker so special, why a Bitcoin investment is so exciting for you as an investor, and what other ways you can participate in the performance of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin (BTC) is the best known crypto currency of all and still by far the most important. In terms of market capitalization, Bitcoin is clearly ahead of its competitors, and in terms of performance, no other digital currency can hold a candle to Bitcoin: At nearly 140 billion US dollars, the market capitalization of Bitcoin in January 2020 is far ahead of that of Ethereum (15 billion) and Ripple (8 billion).

The price development of the most important crypto currency is also unique: in 2016 alone, the Bitcoin exchange rate climbed by more than 125 percent, and in 2017 Bitcoin reached highs of almost 20,000 US dollars. Anyone who trades Bitcoins and has a close eye on the Bitcoin exchange rate can make a fortune with a bit of luck. In the past, the most successful crypto currency made one or two investors a millionaire.

Some analysts predict that Bitcoin will rise to 500,000 dollars and more. As the “Blockchain and Cryptoasset Pre-Event” at the beginning of April 2019 showed, more and more professional asset managers and institutional advisors want to recommend the blockchain and cryptoasset currencies as investments. Bitcoins are also gaining more and more acceptance among more financial institutions. The US investment bank JPMorgan, for example, has launched its own crypto-currency and many customers in Swiss online trading can already buy with crypto-currencies.

Bitcoins have long since ceased to be just nameless online coins that computer users use to make anonymous purchases on the Internet. Bitcoin trading is popular with both private investors and speculators, and the potential still seems great. Especially the recent large price movements are proof of this.

Around the Bitcoin hype at the end of 2017, some critics saw Bitcoin as a risky investment and described the most important crypto currency as “hot air”.

In the end, the Bitcoin price is regulated by supply and demand. And the demand for anonymous money such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin & Co. continues to grow strongly. The reasons for this are, for example, the forward-looking block chain technology, the investment in Bitcoin and capital controls that can be successfully circumvented with the help of crypto money.

Given the performance and technical possibilities of online currencies, many investors are becoming increasingly interested in Bitcoin. If you would like to buy Bitcoin and participate in the performance of the most important Internet currency, there are several options available to you – we have examined the advantages and disadvantages of each of them.

Investors who are primarily interested in participating in the performance of Bitcoin can trade Bitcoins relatively easily through a CFD broker. Opening an account is particularly fast, and deposits can be made by credit card, PayPal or bank transfer.

You can think of a Bitcoin CFD as a security that reflects the Bitcoin price. You as an investor participate directly in the development of the Bitcoin price, but do not own Bitcoin physically. If you wish, you can add leverage to the Bitcoin CFD – you can find out more about this in our CFD Trading Guide. Please note that CFD trading is more heavily regulated since August 2018.

A 1:1 participation without leverage is of course also possible. The biggest advantage of a Bitcoin CFD is that you can get your money back immediately and in full in case of a sale. This is not a matter of course: Various Bitcoin exchanges have daily payout limits, so a payout of your capital can sometimes take several days.

Tip: With Bitcoin it is also possible to buy a VPN anonymously. We recommend a good provider here

VPN: 7 reasons why you should always use a VPN service

When thinking about VPN services, security aspects are the first thing that comes to mind. But the practical tools can do much more. Fake it directly shows you seven top reasons for a constantly active VPN connection.

VPN providers are known to be useful when it comes to traveling safely on the Internet. But a VPN has a lot more advantages than just protecting you from dangers while surfing the net. Netzwelt has collected 7 top reasons why you should use a VPN service With a VPN you not only have completely new streaming possibilities, you can also save a lot of money.

Here to the best VPN

1. VPNs protect in public networks

Connect to the hotel WLAN or use the hotspot at the train station – it’s amazing how many people romp around unprotected in public networks every day. With a VPN, you can protect your end device from prying eyes.

2. protection for downloads

If you occasionally download data in the form of torrents from the Internet, this procedure has some dangers. Even if you don’t make illegal downloads, it could look like this to outsiders. The anonymity that the VPN service offers you is a clear advantage here.

3. a VPN makes online shopping cheaper

There are websites that determine prices based on origin, operating system or other factors. In tests, for example, flights have been offered much more cheaply when booked from a neighbouring country. Overall, this type of price control seems to be particularly widespread in the travel industry. Thanks to VPN service, we were able to book a flight just under 500 US dollars and a rental car even 600 US dollars cheaper in our own tests.

4. stream what you want, when you want with a VPN

Apart from the security aspect, bypassing country blocks is probably the most well-known function of VPN services. Whether Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon: no one likes to wait for their favorite TV show to air in Germany. With a VPN service, you decide what you want to watch.

5. VPNs also run on Fire TV sticks and TV sets

You probably already know that you can seamlessly integrate a VPN on your computer and your mobile devices. But a VPN service can also be installed on Amazon’s FireTV sticks. This allows you to watch content on TV that may not yet be available in Germany. Even more convenient is the use of a router on which you can install a VPN directly.

6. VPN services prevent snooping from websites and authorities

Websites are curious. This is understandable, after all they want to become better and preferably only write articles that you like to read. But there are also black sheep among the website operators who resell such information. Search engines may save the search queries, the visited websites or the place where you are. And authorities also have an interest in reading your data. With a VPN you can prevent this excessive spying.

7. secure your VoIP phone calls with a VPN

Making phone calls via VoIP is convenient and inexpensive. Although it may cost a little speed, we recommend a VPN service to protect your calls.

Conclusion: Sufficient reasons for a VPN service

No matter for which of the above mentioned reasons you choose a VPN provider, each one is reason enough to spend about 3 Euro per month. We advise against using a free or faked VPN offer!
